JUNE DEADLINE

BigSun Scholarship: Open to high school senior athletes. This $500 scholarship is available to all student athletes regardless of participating sport. Includes a short essay of 500 words or less. Additional info and application available at www.bigsunathletics.com. Deadline is 6/20/08.

Any College: Open to all high school students. $2,000 will be randomly awarded four times a year. Enter at www.anycollege.com/scholarship.cfm. Deadline is 6/30/08.

The Jeff Sein Kwan Yang Memorial Scholarship: Open to students who are immigrants or children of immigrants who are graduating from a San Gabriel Valley high school. Student must show commitment to serving the immigrant community. Scholarship worth $500. Download application at www.jeffyangscholarship.com. Deadline is 06/30/08.

Dale E. Fridell Scholarship: Open to all graduating seniors. Four scholarships worth $1,000 each are available. Apply online at www.StraightForwardMedia.com/scholarship/fridell between 4/15/08 & 7/14/08. Deadline is 7/14/08.

AUGUST DEADLINE

Key Bank Scholarship/Sweepstakes: Open to high school juniors and seniors. 3 scholarships of $2,500 each will awarded monthly from Sep 07-August 08. Apply online at www.Key.com/win. Deadline is 08/27/08.

SEPTEMBER DEADLINE

AES Engineers Scholarship: Open to high school seniors. Scholarship is based on character as determined by the essay submitted by the applicant. Applicant must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to one of the following questions: 1) What do you consider the single most important problem that is facing society today? Why? 2) Why are you a good candidate to receive this award? Scholarship is worth $500 and there is no application packet for this award. Pechanga Scholarship Award: Open to high school seniors. Students must write an essay addressing the question: “ Why I Want to Further My Education.” One hundred and twenty one scholarships valued at $2,000 each will be awarded. Application can be downloaded at www.ktla.com. Deadline is 10/01/08.

Citrus Valley Association of REALTORS: Available to all high school students who are centered on, or support a career in real estate transaction activity. Scholarships awarded are in the amounts of $250-$1,000. Applications are available at www.cvar.net or in the College and Career Center.
